A HIT OF THE BLACKPOOL MAGIC CONVENTION 2026 and it’s an Alakazam Magic Exclusive Fast and Loose is one of the oldest con games in existence, a timeless classic that has entertained (and fooled!) audiences for generations. Traditionally performed with a chain on a table, the effect has remained largely unchanged… until now. With Danny Urbanus’ fresh, modern approach, this legendary swindle is brought off the table and straight into your hands. By using something as simple as a rubber band, the routine becomes more portable, more visual, and more practical than ever before, perfect for close-up, walkaround, and impromptu performances. This clever reimagining keeps all the intrigue and psychology of the original while stripping away the need for bulky props and complicated handling. Leaving a powerful, deceptive routine you can carry with you at all times. To make learning effortless, we’ve included a bonus video featuring: – Two full live performances so you can see the steps and pacing – A clear, step-by-step breakdown of the handling – Easy-to-follow moves designed for quick mastery Danny’s handling is streamlined, logical, and incredibly easy to remember, making it suitable for performers of all levels. If you’re new to Fast and Loose, Here’s how it works You invite your spectator to play a simple game of chance. They place their fingers into the rubber band, believing they have a 50/50 shot at winning. If they win, the band tightens and loops securely around their finger. If they lose, it slips free. But here’s the secret… the outcome is never left to chance. No matter what they choose, you remain in complete control, ensuring they can never win, while the illusion of fairness keeps them coming back for more. A classic con, reimagined for the modern magician, simple, powerful, and always ready to perform.
